OTTAWA, CANADA -- Sister Myriam SGC, (Theresa Jeanne Labrecque) died on March 25th in Ottawa, Canada. She served six decades in the order of the Gray Nuns of the Cross in Ottawa.
Sister Myriam was the daughter of Juliette Delisle and Edmund Labrecque. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts and her primary education was completed at Notre Dame de Lourdes School in Lowell.
She was educated in Canada, France and England, received advanced degrees, and taught at elementary through college levels. She was a very generous person to her family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Camille and her husband Omer Matte of Dracut, also her sister-in-law Betty Labrecque of Dracut. She was predeceased by her sister, Rita Brox of Dracut, MA and Vero Beach, Florida, and her brothers, Dennis Labrecque of Dracut, Norman Labrecque of Portland, Oregon, and Roland "Smokey" Labrecque, also of Dracut.
She also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Church in Dracut at a future date. Burial services will be private and there will be no calling hours.
