Loving mother, grandmother,

and great-grandmother

PELHAM -- Patricia D. (Blood) Cocozziello, 83, of Pelham, died early Tuesday morning, April 8th, at Fairhaven Health Care Center in Lowell, following an extended illness surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved friend of the late Robert Doucette who died March 28, 1998.

Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, June 24, 1930, the daughter of the late James D. Blood and the late Helen (Murphy) (Blood) Walsh and step-daughter of the late Martin J. Walsh, she attended St. Gregory's Grammar school in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School in the Class of 1948.

Patricia worked for many years at the IRS in Andover before transitioning to work for Wang Labs in Chelmsford from which she retired in 1988.

Among her many enjoyments, Patricia loved to do volunteer work as a CTI Grandparent for the Dracut school system at the Campbell School for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time helping the teachers and many children in class before declining health forced her retirement. She was also a member of St. Patrick's Church Womens Guild.

Patricia loved listening to music, dancing, playing checkers and taking long drives up the coast. Her greatest pride and pleasure in life was raising her children. She loved spending every moment she could with her 9 grandchildren and her great-grandchild. She loved taking them to the fairs in Pelham and surrounding towns.

Patricia is survived by three sons, Dana M. Cocozziello and his wife, Therese of Tyngsboro, MA, Dean M. Cocozziello and his wife, Deborah of Hudson, NH, and Daniel Cocozziello of Dracut, MA; two daughters, Denise M. Taylor and her husband, Michael of Pelham, NH, and Donna Marie Ogonowski and her husband, Ted of Dracut, MA; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Polk and her husband, Richard of Littleton, MA, Phillip Cocozziello of Tyngsboro, MA, Jeffrey, David, Jessica and Brian Cocozziello all of Hudson, NH, Shannon Doheny and her husband Brian of Amherst, NH, Michael Taylor of Pelham, NH, and Nyle Cooley of Dracut, MA; her great-granddaughter, Callie Cocozziello of Littleton, MA; two sisters, Mary Jane Russell and her husband, Robert of Rowley, MA and Geraldine Walsh of Lake Worth, FL; a brother, Martin J. Walsh and his wife, Susan of Concord, NH; a sister-in-law, Carol Blood of New York, NY; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was also sister of the late Barbara Haywood and the late Richard J. Blood and former wife of the late Anthony M. Cocozziello.

COCOZZIELLO -- In keeping in accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be celebrated on Monday morning at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in Pelham at 9:30 o'clock. Burial in Gibson Cemetery. E-condolences/directions at www.pelhamfuneralhome.com.
