Lifelong resident of Lowell; 89

LOWELL -- Patricia G. (Holmes) Regan, 89, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Wingate at Belvidere.

She was the widow of the late John Regan who passed away in 1979 after 30 years of marriage.

A daughter of the late Robert and the late Anna (McCreadie) Holmes, she was born November 28, 1923, in Lowell, was educated in the Lowell Schools graduating from Lowell High School, and was also a graduate of Bradshaw Business School.

Mrs. Regan made her lifelong home in Lowell, and was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.

She was a phone operator for the phone company in Lowell, having relocated during World War II to San Francisco to work as a Switchboard operator when the phone system was being put in place. She returned to Lowell, and worked for the City, retiring after over 20 years of service.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Ann Descoteaux and her husband, Andre, of Lowell, Dolores Regan of Lowell, Tim Regan of Lowell, and John Regan of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late William Regan, and is also predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The Family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone at Wingate at Belvidere for the care and attention that she received.
