Beloved husband, father, and grandfather

LOWELL -- Paul David Brousseau, 59, of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Friday, October 25, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of Jerelyn K. (Ryder) Brousseau, with whom he celebrated their 31st Wedding Anniversary this past June.

A son of Marion (Graham) Brousseau of Lowell and the late Robert Brousseau, he was born August 25, 1954, in Lowell, and was educated in Lowell schools graduating from Northern Essex Community College with a degree in Education and History, and attended University of Massachusetts at Boston.

Paul's greatest passion was spending time with his children and his beloved granddaughter, Kennedy Grace Alessandro. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and the company of his loyal dog, Lexie, who passed away this past August.

He made his lifelong home in Lowell, and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. He had worked as a postal clerk for the United States Post Office before retiring.

Besides his wife, Jerelyn, and his mother, Marion, he is survived by his daughter, Kaleigh Alessandro and her husband, Anthony, of Tewksbury; his son, Ryan Brousseau of Lowell; his granddaughter, Kennedy Grace Alessandro; his brother, Brian Brousseau and his wife, Maureen, of Florida; his sister, Marion Soucy of Dracut; his mother-in-law, Joanne Ryder of Lowell; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Brian Ryder and his wife, Jane, of Lowell, Joanne Sullivan and her husband, William, of New York, Gary Ryder of Lowell, Roberta Crowe and her husband, Ronald, of Lowell, Rosemary Turgeon and her husband, Robert, of Lowell, Kim Gouveia and her husband, Robert, of Dracut, Trudy Roane and her husband, Gerald, of Lowell, John Ryder of Lowell, Lisa Ryder and Charles Griffin of Lowell, Kerry Hoey and her husband, James, of Lowell, Christopher Ryder and his wife, Freda, of Lowell and Eric Ryder and his wife, Serina, of Tewksbury; as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, including his lifelong friends, Charles and Susan Horndahl of Chelmsford.

He was predeceased by his brother, John Brousseau, his father-in-law, Charles Ryder, his brother-in-law Normand Soucy, and his uncle, John Graham.
