Former owner of Pauline's Variety in Ayer; 79
AYER -- Pauline M. (Maillet) LeBlanc, 79, of Ayer, died Friday, February 8, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. LeBlanc was born in Canada, October 12, 1933, a daughter of Alderic "Boyd" and Marguerite (Babineau) Maillet and moved to Ayer in 1967.
Mrs. LeBlanc leaves her husband of 58 years, Yvon J. LeBlanc, her son, Edward LeBlanc of Lunenburg; four daughters, Brenda Giambusso and Marina Bacon both of Shirley, Pauline Doiron of Canada, Joanne Pinto of Sacramento, California; a brother, Leo Maillet of Canada, two sisters, Doris LeBlanc and Jeannette Hall both of Canada. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Noella Cook, Marie Dow, and Jerry Hogan.
For over 30 years, with her husband, she owned and operated LeBlanc Variety and more recently Pauline's Variety, both in Ayer. She retired in 1999.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, sewing, reading as well as an occasional trip to Foxwoods. She attended St. Mary's Church in Ayer.
LeBLANC -- A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 14th at St. Mary's Church, 31 Shirley Street, Ayer. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
