BUNNELL, FL -- Robert "Bobby" Denis, 69, of Holiday Travel Park, Bunnell, FL, was born August 19, 1944 in Lowell, MA to the late Joseph and Beatrice (Frenette) Denis. He passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013, at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL.
Bobby attended Lowell Trade School and excelled in carpentry. He worked for Longstreet Construction in the New England area for many years prior to moving to Flagler Beach, FL in 1990. He continued to work in his trade for several local contractors prior to becoming an employee of Foley Construction. He was most proud of his involvement in the construction projects done at Daytona International Speedway and Stetson University. He retired in 2003.
Bobby enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, playing cards, NASCAR, New England Patriots, and riding his golf cart around his neighborhood.
He is survived by three sisters, Claire Coster, of Minneapolis, MN, Lorraine Desjardins, of Nashua, NH, Janet Brodeur, of Sunrise, FL; a step daughter, Denise (Grenier) Sarfde, of Flagler Beach, FL.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Laura (Prokos) Denis and sister, Evette Denis, brother, Richard Denis, and his beloved cat, Samantha.
A celebration of Bobby's life will be held at Holiday Travel Park, 2261 South Old Dixie Highway, Bunnell FL on Saturday, November 23rd at 4 P.M.
