Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother Longtime Member of St. Anne's
Episcopal Church

NORTH BILLERICA Shirley A. (Paradzick) Zarella, of North Billerica, died Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital after a period of declining health, her loving family by her side, aged 74 years. She was the beloved wife of Albert L. Zarella, Jr., with whom she celebrated 43 years of marriage last October.

She was born in Springfield, MA, September 3, 1938, a daughter of the late Charles and Pearl Paradzick. She received her education in the Springfield school system.

Mrs. Zarella became associated with the Andover Jade Restaurant, of Andover, where she worked for over 20 years as a waitress, retiring in 1997 when they closed.

Shirley and Al traveled the world together, and especially loved to visit Hawaii, Aruba and Florida. She also enjoyed listening to music and dancing.

She was a longtime, active member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church of North Billerica, and was also a member of the Order of St. Clare.

Shirley was a kind, gentle woman who will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and to God.

In addition to her loving husband Al, she is survived by a son, Normand A. Zarella and his wife Mary Jo of Lowell, two grandsons, Sean A. Zarella and his girlfriend Trisha Thibodeau of Milford, NH, and Stephen J. Zarella and his wife Claire of Austin, TX. A sister, Debbie Zentmeyer of Palm Bay, Florida and a brother, John Duran and his wife Linda of Idaho. She was the grandmother of the late Christopher N. Zarella.

ZARELLA -- In Lowell, January 6, 2013. Shirley A. (Paradzick) Zarella, of N. Billerica, aged 74 years. Beloved wife of Albert L. Zarella, Jr. It being her wishes, there are no calling hours. Mrs. Zarella's funeral service will be held on Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, N. Billerica. Please meet at church. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the St. Anne's Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 134, N. Billerica, MA, 01862.
