PELHAM, NH -- Shirley Ann (Gulbicki) Whiting, 70, of Pelham, NH, died Friday afternoon, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

The beloved wife of Richard C. Whiting, she would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving Day.

She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, February 20, 1942, the daughter of the late Charles Gulbicki and the late Agnes (Dinsmore) Collett.

A proud member of the First Congregational Church in Pelham, Shirley was a former member of the church choir and the English Hand Bell Choir.

Besides her husband, Shirley is survived by three daughters Cheryl A. Hirsch and her husband, Glen of Pelham, NH, Sandra L. Whiting and her companion, Jim Estey of Pelham, NH, and Kimberly A. Wallace of Hampton, NH; a son, Richard P. Whiting and his wife, Shannon of Pelham, NH; 11 grandchildren, Ryan, Dustin, Trevor, Kali, Jillian, Kristin, Tiffany, Felisha, Torianne, RJ, and Autumn; six sisters, Charlene Mason, Deborah Gulbicki-Silva, Kathleen Gulbicki-Donovan, Maureen Vieira, Laurie Libitz and Donna Soulard; three brothers, Doug Collett, Charles Gulbicki, and John Gulbicki; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also the sister of the late Sandy Friedel and Paul Collett.

WHITING -- Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Funeral Service Wednesday morning at the FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH OF PELHAM at 11 o'clock. Committal Services will be private.
