Loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend

DRACUT, MA -- Susan Ann (McCabe) Long, 40, died unexpectedly Monday, April 15th, at her home.

Susan was born in Lowell, MA on July 20, 1972, daughter of Lauria (Desrochers) McCabe and the late Thomas McCabe. She was educated in Dracut and a graduate of Greater Lowell Regional Vocational High School.

She worked in retail and most recently as a Supervisor for Bed Bath and Beyond.

Susan enjoyed watching classic T.V. especially the Golden Girls and the Brady Bunch. But her favorite times were spent with her family, friends and her nephews whom she loved so much.

Along with her mother, Susan is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Alexandra Collins of Dracut; sister, Christine McCabe-Langenfeld of Tyngsboro; her beloved nephews, Conor and Cadan; her aunts and uncles, Janet Desrochers, Doris Paradise and her husband Richard of Lowell, Mark Desrochers of Lowell, Edward McCabe of Lowell, and Sandra McCabe-Conrad of Dracut, William McCabe of North Carolina, her longtime boyfriend Robert Pieslak, as well as several cousins and many friends.

LONG -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 19th at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, April 20th at 11:30 a.m. also at the funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make donations in Susan's name to the Northeast Behavioral Health- Lowell Center, Zero Centennial Drive Peabody, MA 01960.
