Loving husband, father, and brother; 61
DUNSTABLE -- William E. "Billy" Cormier, 61, a resident of Dunstable since 1983, and formerly of Chelmsford, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Leslie (Vincent) Cormier with whom he celebrated 34 years of marriage on October 28th.
He was born in New Bedford, MA on July 14, 1951, and was a son of the late Lucien C. and Doris A. (James) Cormier.
Billy graduated Cum Laude earning his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Lowell (now UMass Lowell) Class of 1978 and was a 1969 graduate of Chelmsford High School.
He began his 34-year career at Alpha Industries, which later became Skyworks, where he was employed as a Regional Sales Manager.
Billy traveled around the world for business, but his favorite place was the home that he and his wife designed and built 30 years ago and which he continually renovated. He found his greatest joy in the company of his family, whether vacationing along the New England seacoast, watching his son, Max, play sports or joking with his daughter, Brielle, who inherited his smile and contagious laugh. Billy truly treasured friends and family and welcomed the opportunity to be the gracious host and chef, especially when serving his legendary barbecued ribs.
In addition to his loving wife, Billy is survived by his children, Brielle N. Cormier of Chelmsford, and Max V. Cormier of Dunstable; three sisters, Carole Dunbar and her husband, Dennis of ME, Christine Blandford and her husband, Jim of VA, and Susan Coleman and her husband, Tom of CA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clint and Anne Vincent of Chelmsford; sisters-in-law, Lisa Baker and Leanne Emerson of Chelmsford; and many nieces and nephews.
He also leaves countless friends, lifelong and new, who were honored to have known him.
