Loving father, son, brother, friend; Navy Vet

NASHUA, NH -- William "Bill" James Farrell Jr., will forever be remembered for his strong soul and generous, outgoing personality. Bill passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday September 17, 2013. He was a devoted father, son, brother, and loyal friend.

Bill was a high tech entrepreneur who built and ran a successful multi-million dollar Company for many years in the Nashua area.

He graduated in 1979 from Acton/Boxboro Regional High School, and in 1986 from UMass Lowell with a BS in Industrial Engineering. He served his country in the United States Navy in Norfolk VA from 1980-1982.

Bill enjoyed many outdoor sports such as golfing, biking, and football. He especially enjoyed watching his daughters horseback ride, perform in ballet recitals, and compete in gymnastics and track.

He is survived by his two beloved daughters, Alexis and Phaedra; his parents, Anne Hassett of Acton, MA, and William Farrell Sr., of Summerfield, FL; as well as his three brothers and sister, Tom of San Francisco, CA, Ted of Los Gatos, CA, Bob of Middleburg, FL, and Susan Benedict of Hubbardston, MA.

FARRELL -- Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, September 26 at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Mass Ave., Acton MA. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am, Friday, September 27 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 89 Arlington St., Acton, MA. Burial will immediately follow at the Woodbrook Cemetery, 100 Salem St., Woburn, MA. Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be sent to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45290.
