Many fond memories.
RIP Norm.
April 1, 2011
I met Norm many years ago playing against him in a memberguest tournament at Lexington Golf Club. Subsequently, we became great friends and he partnered with me playing in the president's invitational at Vesper CC. Norm was a great competitor and a true genlteman who will be missed.

Norm Roy was a Gentlemen that we got to know at Nabnasset Country Club. He became a close friend of ours and we'll always cherish our fun times we had with him. Know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Norm Roy was a person of extraordinary abilities. He was a physically gifted individual with a sharp mind and strong mental discipline. But it was his other traits that endeared him to everyone.
He was an empathic person that cared very much about all the people he knew.
His wonderful dry sense of humor and very sharp wit always entertained us on his annual golf outings to Myrtle Beach. His mandatory daily post game meetings were legendary. His natural leadership kept the most unruly of us in check. To be late for his meetings or to upset or disappoint Norm was unthinkable.
But above all else, Norm was a very humble person that cared deeply about his friends and especially his children and grandchildren.
Knowing Norm for the past 20 years has made me a better person.
Muriel and I will always remember him as a distinguished and gentle man with a generous heart.
