Constantine 'Coe' Veves
Formerly of Lowell; 86

MARLTON, NJ -- Constantine "Coe" Veves, 86, beloved husband of Betty (nee Michopoulos) passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014.

The youngest child of Arthur and Helen Veves, Coe grew up with his sister (Betty Vafiades) and his four brothers (Petro, Peter, Teddy and Jim) in the Acre section of Lowell. After serving in the US Army, Coe attended Boston University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's degree in Education. Coe began his teaching career at the Moody School. He then taught History at Lowell High School until 1964 when he was elected to the position of Principal of the Butler School.

Following his retirement from the Butler School in 1987, Coe and his wife moved to Marlton, NJ to be near their daughter and her husband. In addition to spending time with his family, Coe's greatest joy was playing poker in the Atlantic City casinos.

Coe is survived by his wife Betty, his daughter Nancy Follett and her husband Chuck, a brother in-law "Doc" Michaels and his wife Rita, a sister-in-law Ethel Veves as well as a niece and several nephews.

VEVES -- A private service will be held at the Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ. Arrangements by BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, Medford NJ. (
