Roger George Paré
Korean War Veteran, age 75
PEPPERELL -- Mr. Roger G. Paré, age 75, a longtime resident of Pepperell, died peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his home, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Constance I. (Savard) Paré.
Born in Lowell on May 3, 1938, he was a son of the late Aimé and Eva (Roucher) Paré.
Roger was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy, earning his honorable discharge in May of 1963.
He was educated in the Lowell school system and had been a communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an inspector at Raytheon for thirty five years.
Roger enjoyed scuba diving and was a member of the Lowell Civil Defense and the Lowell Underwater Explorers Club, where he had also served as past president.
He had a passion for football and was the owner of the semi-pro Nashua Predators.
Roger was also an active member of the Pepperell Senior Center and the Pepperell VFW Post 3291.
Surviving him in addition to his wife Constance,are a son and daughter-in-law, Michael R. and Marsha J Paré of Pepperell; a granddaughter, Jessica Paré and her fiancé Jerrick Wallace of Pepperell; a great- granddaughter, J'Lynn Wallace; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Judy Pare of Lowell and Eugene 'Gino" and Debbie Pare of Manchester, NH; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Theresa Larochelle of Lowell and Elaine and Charles Marco of Pepperell, and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the grandfather of the late Sean M. Paré and Christopher J. Paré and brother of the late Leo Pare, Albert "Poppy" Pare and Pauline Rousseau.
