Eileen M. (Vigeant) Thorp
of Dracut; 61

DRACUT -- Eileen M. (Vigeant) Thorp, 61, died Monday, February 24th at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of William T. Thorp with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.

Born in Lowell on July 19, 1952, Eileen was the daughter of Lillian R. (Tetreault) Jodoin and Romeo W. Vigeant. She was educated in Lowell and a graduate of Lowell High School.

For many years, Eileen worked as a Physical Therapy Aide at Tewksbury State Hospital and more recently at Sams Club.

Eileen loved dancing, swimming, and animals, as well as arts and crafts. She also loved taking long rides to the beach, while listening to the radio. Her family however, was her greatest joy and she will be deeply missed by all of them.

Along with her husband William, Eileen is survived by her 3 daughters, Kimberly Bastek and her husband Kevin of Hudson, NH, Michelle Thorp of Dracut and Tarsha Thorp of Lowell; her sister, Theresa Pol of Lowell; 4 grandchildren, Brandon, Trevor, Rayana and Noah as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Sarah Thorp in 2002.

THORP -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, March 1st from 3 to 7 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. A celebration of life service will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
