Loving son, brother, uncle

LOWELL -- Thomas Patrick Welch, 53, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at his home.

Born in Lowell, on September 24, 1960, he was a son of the late James Joseph Welch and Mary Rita (Donnelly) Welch.

Tom was a graduate of Lowell Vocational Technical High School and took several courses at Middlesex Community College.

He was currently employed at Brox Industries, and had previously worked at McKittrick Hardware and Courier Citizen Corp.

Tom had a love of his family, Boston sports teams, concerts, photography, long drives and hikes. He also enjoyed going to Fenway Park, driving to Maine, beaches along the ocean and Lake Winnipesaukee.

He was a lifelong communicant of St. Michael Church.

Tom was a well-liked, respected guy and a hard worker. He was the family patriarch.

He leaves his loving family, Ann Bratton, Mary Shapiro, Joseph Welch, Maureen and Mike Abreu, John O'Brien, Mike and Michelle Green, Jenn Wall, Elizabeth and Joseph Murray, Tom and Anne Wall, Timothy Shapiro, Meghan Bratton, Tony Abreu, Brittany Green, Katie Green, Yon Roeun, Talia Roeun, Chantel Roeun, and Siyon Roeun, Nathan and Evelyn Wall; many cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by family members, Katherine O'Brien, Brian Bratton, Ed and Eileen Eno, and Robert Welch.

WELCH -- Relatives and friends are invited to Tom's Life Celebration on Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10 AM in St. Michael Church. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
