CHELMSFORD, MA -- Pauline Scarmeas, 77, of Chelmsford, MA died Sunday April 6, 2014 at D'Youville Center in Lowell, MA.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late John and Evridiki (Demes) Scarmeas. She graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1954 and attended Lowell Commercial College.
Pauline worked for the Lowell Institute for Savings as a teller, the Raytheon Company as a secretary and the Mitre Corporation of Burlington as an administrative assistant to the chief engineer from 1962 to 2000.
Pauline enjoyed baking, cake decorating, sewing and knitting. She loved working on all kinds of crossword puzzles.
She is survived by one sister, Connie Delmore of N. Chelmsford, two brothers, Bill Scarmeas of Palm Beach Shores, FL and Chris and his wife June Scarmeas of Lowell; two nephews, John and his wife Kristin Delmore of Chelmsford and David and his wife Kate Delmore of Sudbury; Five nieces, Kristal Lavelle of Westford, Vicki Scarmeas of Chelmsford, Kelley and her husband Dr. Sharif Nankoe of Worcester, Nicole and her husband Daniel Brown of Yonkers, NY, Audrey and Karen Patenaude of Lowell, MA; nine great-nephews and nieces, Darius, Drew, Alie, Jasmine, Noah, Tabitha, Angus, Leila and Kai and many loyal and dear friends.
