Loving husband; 76

LOWELL, MA -- Normand A. Rocheleau, age 76, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, April 17, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Susan F. (Charland) Rocheleau, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.

He was born in Lowell, MA on May 6, 1937, the son of the late Edmond and Yvonne (Plante) Rocheleau. He attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1956.

Prior to his retirement, Normand had been employed by the Raytheon Co.of Andover, MA as a foreman for 37 years.

He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.

Normand enjoyed working on his home and gardening. He was also an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. His greatest enjoyment was the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Susan, his survivors include two daughters, Michelle F. Phillips of Lowell and Donna Modica and her husband, John, of Lowell; two sons, Russell J. Rocheleau of Lowell and Normand A. Rocheleau of Lowell; three sisters, Rita Winter of Illinois, Joan Gallagher of Lowell and Shirley Carrigan of Ipswich, NH. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Edmond, Arthur, Alfred and George Rocheleau and Beatrice Pollard.

ROCHELEAU -- Family and friends are invited to attend Normand's Committal Prayer Services on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1 o'clock at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford, MA. Military honors will follow services with interment in the family lot. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-9376. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the ARCHAMBAULT FUNERAL HOME, 309 Pawtucket St., Lowell.
