Phyllis S. (Pearce) DePalma
CHELMSFORD -- Phyllis S. (Pearce) DePalma, 80, of Chelmsford died Sunday April 20, 2014 at Lowell General Hospital.
She was married to Leonard DePalma with whom she celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary this past March.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late D. Charles and Katherine (Moriarty) Pearce. She was raised in Porters Lake, Nova Scotia and attended Porters Lake School. Phyllis moved to Chelmsford in 1977.
She retired from Chelmsford Public Schools after 25 years as a Baker.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Brian and his wife Jan Rowlings of Porters Lake, Nova Scotia; a daughter Beverley Kowbel of Regina, SK; two brothers, Ross and his wife Eleanor Pearce of Musquodoboit Harbor, Nova Scotia, David and Colleen Pearce of New Minas, Nova Scotia; a sister Pat and her husband Ken Brown of Porters Lake, Nova Scotia; Five grandchildren Jesse and Janine Rowlings of Porters Lake, Nova Scotia, Colin, Jessica and Sean Kowbel of Regina, SK.
She was predeceased by her two sisters; Joyce Shields of Toronto, Ontario and Helen Pearce of Belleville, Ontario.
DEPALMA -- No calling hours. Relatives and friends may be received at the American Legion Post 313 at 90 Groton Rd., N. Chelmsford on Thursday April 24 from 2-6 p.m.
