Loving father, grandfather and brother;

U. S. Army Veteran

LOWELL -- Glen A. Oxton, of Lowell, died unexpectedly on April 28, 2014, at Lowell General Hospital, aged 66 years.

Born in Weymouth, December 24, 1947, a son of the late Roy and Elva (Newton) Oxton.

Glen enlisted in the U. S. Army on March 24, 1965, and served with the Company B 34th Signal Battalion. He received the Europe Defense Service Medal and was honorably discharged on January 6, 1968. He was employed as a roofer in the greater Lowell area for many years.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Knutkowski and her husband, Tyrone of Methuen, two sons, Raymond Rosa of Derry, NH, and G. A. Oxton of Lowell; two brothers, Alfred J. Oxton of Arizona, and Gordan S. Oxton and his wife, Phyllis of Billerica; four sisters, Susan K. Rice and her husband, Robert of Nashua, NH, Flora F. Oxton and Donna I. Simmons, both of Billerica, and Ann-Marie L. Iozzo and her husband, Michael of Nashua, NH; three grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
