LOWELL -- Cheryl A. (Dean) Martin, 66, lifelong resident of Lowell and Dracut, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 with her family by her side, after a long and courageous battle with illness.
She was the beloved wife of Walter Robert Martin, with whom she would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in September. Cheryl was predeceased by her beloved mother, Eleanor (Hadley) Dean of Lowell, her Grandparents, Mildred (Hadley) & Nicholas "Bompa" Simmons, of Dracut, her sister, Judy (Dean) Culbert of Pelham, NH, and mother-in-law, Madeline Martin, of Lowell.
Cheryl was born in Lowell on September 29, 1947, and attended the Lowell School system.
Cheryl had a 17-year career at BASF/Fuji Film as a Supervisor retiring early to care for her grandchildren, who were the loves of her life. She cherished the time she spent with her husband, children and especially her grandchildren, as well as her extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Robert Martin and wife, Tracy (Martin) of Amesbury, Jennifer (Martin) Foley and husband, Kevin Foley of Dracut; Jason Martin and wife, Melissa (Corbin) of Dracut; her treasured grandchildren, Benjamin Martin, Patrick Foley, John Martin, Emma Foley, Connor Foley, Kloe Martin and Corbin Martin.
Cheryl also leaves behind her brother, Henry Dean, and his wife, Diane of Dracut; sister, Cathy (Dean) Grant and her husband, Jason of Pepperell; sister, Debbie (Dean) Chartier and her husband, Leo of Pelham, NH, along with her loving in-laws, Gerald & Donna Sullivan of Chelmsford; Ann Baillargeon & Jim Breen of Lowell; Gary & Kristen Martin of Salem; Richard and Louise Martin of Bellevue, NE; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
The family would also like that thank Cheryl's friends Simonne & Jack Buckley of Dracut for their lifelong friendship and support.
