CHELMSFORD -- Ms. Georgia Zouzas, 59, passed away Friday, May 9th, at the D'Youville Life and Wellness Community.
Georgia was born January 12, 1955 in Lowell, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Charles Zouzas and survived by her loving mother, Polly (Petrakos) Zouzas. She was a lifelong resident of Chelmsford where she graduated from Chelmsford High School.
Georgia worked as the librarian at Chelmsford Library and also worked at the Glenview Nursing Home as a certified nursing assistant.
Georgia was a member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell and was active volunteer for Saints Medical Center.
She is survived by her mother, Polly Zouzas; a daughter, Stephanie Zouzas Tymula and her husband, Chris, all of Chelmsford; two sisters, Catherine Curtis and her husband, Theodore of Merrimack, NH, Themoula Poirier and her husband, Lucien of Chelmsford; her grandson, Christopher Tymula; and two nephews, James Curtis and his fiancée, Melissa, and David Charles Rodrigues and his wife, Melinda.
Georgia was pre-deceased by her father, Charles Zouzas, and her sister, Helen Rodrigues.
ZOUZAS -- Relatives and friends will be received by her family at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, Fr. Sarantos Way, Lowell on Monday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Her funeral service will follow in the Transfiguration Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery.
