Wilfred E. "Bud" Bradley
of Dracut; formerly of Lowell; 84

DRACUT -- Wilfred E. "Bud" Bradley, 84, died Tuesday evening, May 6, 2014 at D'Youville Senior Care, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie A. (Emond) Bradley who predeceased him in 2000.

Bud was born in Lowell on August 8, 1929. He was the son of the late Frank Bradley and Emma (Shaw) Bradley. He received his education through the Lowell School Systems and was a graduate of Lowell Vocational School, class of 1947.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed at MIT Lincoln Laboratories in Lexington as a Laboratory Technician for 37 years. During his employment, MIT gave his many assignments in New Mexico, Hawaii, Guam, and the military Island of Kwajlein. He was respected for his work on the KC135 Aircraft project he worked on while in Hawaii.

Following his retirement, he is and his wife, Marie, moved to Largo, Florida and became avid tennis players and they also enjoyed swimming and biking. Also while in Florida, he became VP of the Shipwatch Tennis Club Association where he never refused to help out in any way he could for the tennis club. In his early years he was a member of the Dracut Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his children, Wayne J. Bradley of Pepperrell, Donna Szafran of Windham, NH, and Kim Bradley of Windham, NH; his grandchildren, Leeanne Bradley, Katherine Ellis, Sophia Bradley, Sydney Bradley, David Rouse, Keri Marie Fernandez, and William Szafran; his great-grandchildren, Madison, Jordyn and Savannah Marie; as well as several nieces, nephews, and close family members.

Bud is predeceased by his brothers Richard and Frank Bradley.

BRADLEY -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, on MONDAY, May 12th from 8:15- 10:15. His funeral mass will take place at 11 AM in St. Francis Church in Dracut. Interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery, Dracut. Donations may be made in Bud's name to D'Youville Senior Care Center, 981 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854.
