Henry J. Kochanek
of Dracut; formerly of Lowell; 84
DRACUT -- Henry J. Kochanek, 84, died Saturday evening, May 17, 2014 at Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Maryjane (Larocque) Kochanek with whom he shared 55 years of marriage with.
Henry was born in Lowell on November 23, 1929. He was the son of the late John and Mary (Zybura) Kochanek. He received his education in the Lowell School System and was a graduate of Lowell High School. He later furthered his education and received his bachelor's degree from Bentley College.
He proudly served his country during the Korean War enlisting in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1953.
For many years, Henry was employed as Vice President at Union National Bank and was also employed later as a comptroller for Keefe Associates and Nature Foods.
Henry was a mason of the William North Lodge AF & AM. He loved summering at the beach but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
In addition to his wife is he survived by his daughter, Pamela Walsh and her husband Michael of Pelham, NH and his two grandchildren, Justin Walsh and his wife Jennifer of Billerica and Shaela Lappin and her husband Andrew of Lowell.
Henry is predeceased by his brother Walter Kochanek.
