CHELMSFORD -- Doris S. Mainville, 68, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, passed away on May 21, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.
She was born in Lowell on January 4, 1946 and was a daughter of the late Omar A. and Regina E. (Marchand) Mainville.
Doris was a 1963 graduate of Chelmsford High School. Prior to its' closing, she was employed as a payroll supervisor at Waltham Hospital for 32 years. She loved horses and was a former member of the National Reining Horse Association, as well as a lifetime member of the Northeast Reining Horse Association which she helped to run during the 1980's. She enjoyed playing Bingo on Saturday nights at Eagles Wing in Nashua.
Doris is survived by her sister Claire Mainville of Chelmsford, her brother Roland Mainville and his wife Pat of Chelmsford, and her nieces and nephews; Roland Mainville, Jr. and his wife Tracy, Ronda Christie and her husband Tom, Danny Mainville, Patty Park and her husband Hyung, and Bill Mainville and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late Omer Mainville.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House for the kindness and compassion they showed to Doris and her family.
MAINVILLE -- DORIS S. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Service will be on Saturday at 10 o'clock at the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford.
