Richard V. Dunbrack
of Dracut, MBTA retiree, avid aviator; 71

DRACUT -- Richard V. Dunbrack, 71, passed away Friday, June 6th, peacefully, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of 42 years to Joan F. (Russell) Dunbrack.

Richard was born in Everett, MA on December 14, 1942, a son of the late Corrine (Borrella) and Vernon R. Dunbrack. He was educated in Everett and a graduate of Everett High School.

For over 25 years, Richard worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for the MBTA Green Line. He had a love for trains and planes, especially flying them.

Richard enjoyed cooking, tinkering around with gadgets and toys and an the occasional jelly donut. However, his family meant the world to him and spending time with them was his greatest pleasure.

Along with his wife, Joan, Richard is survived and will be deeply missed by his four children, Vernon R. Dunbrack and his wife, Lisa of Hudson, NH, Merylle Chase and her husband, Kevin of Dracut, Matthew Dunbrack and his wife, Christine Dalrymple of Pelham, NH, and Lori Barron and her husband, Steven of New Hampshire; his five cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey, Courtney, Connor, Raquel and Maquela; niece, Jennifer Gilbride and her husband, Shawn of Dracut; as well as many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

DUNBRACK -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. on MONDAY, June 9th at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, MA. His funeral service will be private and burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Please OMIT flowers due to allergies in the family. Donations may be made in Richard's name to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108.
