She was the wife of the late James V. Winters, Sr.

Alice was born in Lowell on January 23, 1931, a daughter of the late Alfred and Annie (Anderson) Sayer. She was educated in the Lowell Schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1948, where she was also a Girl Officer.

Alice was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church. Prior to her retirement, Alice was employed by Wang Labs as a Supervisor from 1973 until 1986. She was also employed by CVS from 1989 until 1993.

Alice was an avid reader. She loved movies and music and was a Boston Sports Fan, especially the New England Patriots. She enjoyed watching games with her kids whenever she could.

Those who knew Alice know one of her favorite pastimes in life was sipping Champagne with her family and friends.

One of her last requests was that black clothing not be worn at her services. Her favorite color was red, so any bright color, preferably red, should be worn to honor her wishes.

Winters, Jr. and his wife, Judith, and John Winters, all of Lowell, Jerold Winters and his wife, Lauri of Manchester, NH; son-in-law, Mark Trudel and his wife, Marcia, husband of the late Linda Ann Mansfield Trudel who passed away in May of 2011; daughter-in-law, Patricia Mansfield, wife of the late Robert W. "Billy" Mansfield who passed away in April of 2007; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and three

great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Alice is also survived by her brother, Norman Sayer and his wife, Millie; her sister, Ethel Chancey; a

sister-in-law, Mae Sayer; and her close friends Cheryl and Kevin Cullen.

Alice was the grandmother of the late Shannon Mansfield who passed away in 2009. She was also the sister of the late Rose Routhier and her husband, Henry, Al Sayer and his wife, Rita, and John Sayer; her brother-in-law, Joseph Chancey of Chelmsford; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William and Evelyn Winters of Lowell, and Edward and Louise Winters of Atlanta, GA, and a brother-in-law, Francis Winters of Lowell.
