M. Mary Thyne

HUDSON, NH -- M. Mary (Jennings) Thyne, 89, of Hudson, NH, formerly of Lowell, MA, died Monday evening, July 28th at Fairview Healthcare in Hudson. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice Thyne.
Born in Dracut, Massachusetts, December 24, 1924, a daughter of the late William and the late Margaret (Kennedy) Jennings, she attended Dracut schools and was a graduate of Dracut High School in the Class of 1942.
Before retiring, Mary was employed as an Assembler with Digital Equipment in Salem, NH for many years.
She was a former lifetime parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Lowell as well as a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality.
Among her many activities, Mary enjoyed reading, cooking and shopping. She was affectionately known as a "window dressing aficionado". However, her most cherished times were spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary is survived by two sons M. Leo Thyne, Jr. and his wife Colleen and Daniel R. Thyne and his wife Linda all of Hudson, NH; two step-sons John J. Thyne of Lowell, MA and Robert Thyne and his wife Nancy of Pelham, NH; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, among them a very special niece Maureen McNiff of Chelmsford, MA.
She was also sister of the late Marion Shanahan, William Jennings, Joseph Jennings and Frances Jennings.
The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors at Fairview Healthcare in Hudson and Home Health & Hospice in Nashua for the excellent care that Mary had received. The kindness and compassion of so many individuals not only provided skilled and professional care to Mary, but also supported the family during a very difficult time. The family is eternally grateful.
