of Dracut, U.S. Navy Veteran; 33

DRACUT, MA -- Scott P. O'Toole, 35, died unexpectedly, July 28, 2014, in Jacksonville, Florida, while on active duty for the U.S. Navy.

Scott was the husband of Stefanie (Eldridge) O'Toole of Jacksonville, FL.

Born in Lowell on June 6, 1979, he was the son of Rosanne (Bergeron) O'Toole of Dracut and Edward O'Toole and the step son of Barbara of Charlestown, NH. He was educated in Dracut and was a graduate of Dracut High School class of 1997. After graduating high school and the tragic events of 9/11, Scott made the decision to honor and serve his country by enlisting in the US Navy. He graduated from the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, IL. At the time of his death, he had achieved the rank of Navy 1st Class Petty Officer serving as an Aviation Machinist Mate stationed at Naval Station Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL.

Scott enjoyed snowmobiling, collecting shot glasses, Nascar, New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, 4-wheeling, the history channel, video games, darts and pool, and of course Scott ran on Dunkin Donuts.

Along with his wife and parents, Scott is survived and will be deeply missed by his brother Shawn O'Toole and his fiancée Jaclyn Levasseur of Dracut; his half-brother Patrick, and half-sister Kaitlyn of Charlestown, NH; his father-in-law, Brian Eldridge of Chelmsford, MA; mother-in-law, Nancy Allen; sister- in-laws, Brooke and Angie, and brother in-law Ryan all of Lowell.

Scott shared a very special bond with his niece Hailey O'Toole and is also survived by his nephews and nieces: Brandon, Kayla, Sabrina, Byron, Jaylyn and Ariana; Aunt Mae Chandonnet and her husband Robert; his loving Godmother, Catherine Johnson; and Peter and Phyllis Semenchuk, neighbors who were like second parents to Scott.

Scott will also be deeply missed by all of his cousins and friends and his loving dog, Tanner.

O'TOOLE -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, on MONDAY, August 4th from 4-8 p.m. His funeral will take place from the funeral home on TUESDAY at 9:30 a.m., followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Magdalen Church, 95 Lakeview Avenue, TYNSGBORO. Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scott's memory to the DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS, State House Room 546, Boston, MA.
