Loving father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend; 30

TYNGSBORO, MA -- William "Bill" McDermott, 30, of Tyngsboro died unexpectedly, Thursday, July 31st, 2014.

William was born in Lowell, MA on May 5, 1984, and was the beloved son of June (Kearney) and William M. McDermott of Tyngsboro. He was a graduate of Tyngsboro High School, class of 2002, where he was a co-captain of the Tyngsboro High School Football & Wrestling Teams. He attended UMass Lowell and was a graduate of the New England School of HVAC.

Along with his parents, Bill will be sadly missed by his brother, Brian E. McDermott of Tyngsboro; Kathleen Bills, his longtime girlfriend and mother of his son, Casey Wyatt McDermott, both of Tyngsboro; his paternal grandfather, Edward T. McDermott of Dracut; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Bill was employed as a concrete carpenter with Romac Forms of Tyngsboro. He also was the owner and operator of Bill's Firewood of Tyngsboro.

Bill was a caring and loving friend who enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his family, especially his son Casey Wyatt McDermott. An animal lover, Bill loved his families' dogs Damian, Roscoe, Rollie, and Buddy.

Addiction is such a difficult disease for us to accept or understand. Bill fought his valiantly for over 10 years. This past Thursday God said enough is enough and called Bill home to Him. Rest in Peace, William.
