LOWELL -- Derrick D. Lee, age 47, a resident of Lowell, formerly of Tewksbury went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday morning, July 30, 2014, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was the beloved husband of Cheryl A. (Smith) (Bahou) Lee.
Born in Albany, NY on November 11, 1966, he was a son of the late Fred R. Lee and Dianne I. Laney of Abbington, who survives him. He received his early education in the Boston schools and later attended schools in Lexington, MA. He was a graduate of Lexington High School Class of 1984 where during his senior year he was in the program for the U.S. Army Reserves.He later futhered his education at Bay State College in Boston.
Derrick was the proprietor of Lee Property Management of Lowell, MA, which he ran for seven years. He was also affiliated with Keller Williams Real Estate of Andover, MA, as a Realtor.
He was a member of the New England Pentecostal Church of Pelham, NH.
Derrick enjoyed traveling, deep sea fishing, golfing, and loved music. He was also an avid New England Sports Fran. He most enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by six children, Melissa N. Lee of Somerville, MA, Jacob E. Babou of Lowell, MA, Ashley R. Lee of Somerville, MA, Madeline L. Bahou of Lowell, Adam F. Bahou of Lowell, and Samuel F. Bahou of Lowell; one sister Kim A. Rankins of Brockton, MA; one niece, Portia Lee of Stoughton, MA; one nephew, Aaron Crawley of Brockton, MA; two great-nephews, Zakai Lee-Perkins and Taj Clung, both of Stoughton, MA; his loving mother-in-law, Shirley Smith of Lowell.
Also survived by many dear and close friends, and his beloved dog, Brindle Lee.
Derrick was also the loving father of the late Gianna Grace Lee who passed away on May 25, 2014.
LEE -- Family and friends may call on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM at the ARCHAMBAULT FUNERAL HOME, 309 Pawtucket St., Lowell, MA. A Celebration of Derrick's Life will take place on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the New England Pentecostal Church, 955 Bridge St., Pelham, NH. (Those who will be attending Services are kindly invited to go directly to the Church). Committal Prayers will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, Chelmsford, MA. Funeral Director, Victor J.
