Rosamond 'Roz' M. Duggan
Active at St. Margaret Church, Lowell; 94

TEWKSBURY -- Rosamond "Roz" Mary (Sheahan) Duggan, 94, died Friday, August 8, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late George "Vic" Duggan who preceded her in death in 1971.

A long-time resident of Lowell, she recently resided at Bayberry at Emerald Court in Tewksbury.

Roz was born in Lowell on September 6, 1919, the daughter of the late Timothy J. Sheahan and Julia A. (Jarvis) Sheahan. She graduated from Howe High School in Billerica as a member of the Class of 1938. She then attended Bradshaw Business College in Lowell.

She held several bookkeeping and accounting positions throughout her career, including positions at Fort Devens and Paine Elevator. She retired after 40 years of service at Lowell General Hospital.

Rosamond was a devoted wife and an avid reader.

A religious person, Roz was a member of the Ladies Sodality in St. Margaret's Church for over 40 years.

But above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially time with her many grandchildren, her grand niece and nephews, and with her great-grand niece and nephews.

Roz is survived by her four children, Catherine J. DiPoto and her husband, Kenneth J. of Dracut, Carole A. Catyb and her husband, Martin F. of Dracut, Timothy J. Duggan Esq. and his wife, Colleen of Norwood, and Margaret M. Duggan and her husband, David R. Van Camp of Burlington; by her 10 grandchildren, Dr. Angela C. DiPoto Brahmbhatt and her husband, USAF Capt. Mehul J. Brahmbhatt of Louisiana, Joseph M. DiPoto of Tyngsboro, Maria C. DiPoto of Lebanon, NH, Kirstin A. Catyb of Dracut, Michael V. Duggan of Toronto, Dr. Caitlin C. Duggan, Timothy J. Duggan Jr., and Thomas F. Duggan, all of Norwood, Christopher T. Van Camp and William G. Van Camp of Burlington; by her nieces, Barbara M. Whittaker and Brenda A. Kotarba, and her husband, Robert A., all of Dracut; by her grandniece, Pamela A. Kotarba; grandnephews, David P. Whittaker and Robert A. Kotarba, Jr. and his wife, Tina Bishop-Kotarba, all of Dracut; and by her great-grand niece, Kaleigh A. Bishop-Kotarba, and great-grand nephews, Keegan A. Bishop-Kotarba, and Kevin R. Bishop.

She is also preceded in death by her sister, Marguerite J. "Peg" Skehan, and her grandson, John F. Duggan.

DUGGAN -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut on Sunday, August 10th from 3 PM to 6 PM. Her funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Monday, August 11th at 7:20 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 8:30 AM in St. Margaret Church, Lowell. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Mass.
