lifelong resident of Dracut; 94
DRACUT Pauline (Malliaros) Banacos, 94, a lifelong resident of Dracut, died Monday, November 23rd, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was the wife of the late Peter G. Banacos, who died in 1989.
She was born in Dracut on September 1, 1915, and she was a daughter of the late Costas and Angelike (Demos) Malliaros. She received her education in
Dracut schools.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Banacos was employed for many years by Honeywell in Lowell.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her
family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and making Greek dishes and pastries for them.
She was a lifetime member of the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Margaret Banacos of Magnolia MA, and Paul and Trish Banacos of Dracut; a daughter and son-in-law, Marguerite and George Salpas of Tyngsboro; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late William Malliaros, John Malliaros, Peter Malliaros, Portia Karoutas, and Demetra Liackos.
BANACOS Friends may call at the DRACUT
FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Friday from 5 until 8 P.M. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 9 A.M. followed by her Funeral Service at 10 A.M. at the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity on Lewis St. in Lowell. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery in Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name, to the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 62 Lewis St., Lowell, MA 01854.
