Loving Father, Grandfather,
and U.S. Army veteran

N. CHELMSFORD -- Frank A. Theall, age 78, a resident of North Village in North Chelmsford, died peacefully Sunday morning, April 11, 2010, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Boston, MA, on July 29, 1931, a son of the late Chester and Mary (Cameron) Theall. He received his education in the Dorchester schools.

In his early years, Frank had worked as a manager at Woolworth's Dept. store in New Hampshire. He later owned and operated a Western Auto Parts store in Clinton, MA. He retired after 20 years of service from the Metropolitan State Hospital in Waltham, MA.

Frank was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict having been the recipient of the Korean Service Medal with a four Bronze Stars, The Combat Infantry Badge, and the UN Service Medal.

He was a member of the Walker Rogers VFW Post 662 of Lowell, American Legion Post 259 of Tewksbury, The North Chelmsford American Legion Post 313; as well as the 1st Calvary Division Assoc., and the 7th Calvary Division Association.

Frank loved his family and most enjoyed his time spent with them. He loved horse racing, and reminiscing about time at Lake Boon in Stow, MA.

Survivors include three daughters, Deborah L. Theall of Newburyport, MA, Lori L. Hopkins of Athol, MA, and Barbra B. Sutton of Litchfield, NH; two sons, Frank A. Theall III of Lowell, and Mark A. Theall of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; one brother, George C. Theall and family of Stow, MA; seven grandchildren, Sarah Dunlop, Douglas Vazquez, Corey Hopkins, Claire Vazquez, Andrew Hopkins, Victoria Theall, Carly Sutton; as well as cousins, nieces and nephews, and good friends, Jack and Joe.

THEALL -- Frank A. Theall, age 78, a resident of North Chelmsford, died April 11, 2010. A decorated U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. At his request, Funeral Services were held privately. Interment took place at the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne, MA, with Military Honors. Donations in Memory of Frank may be made to the , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the ARCHAMBAULT FUNERAL HOME, 309 Pawtucket St., Lowell (978-459-9315).
