PELHAM, New Hampshire -- Lisa (Skafidas) Bretton, 43, of Pelham NH, died Monday morning May 3, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Kevin J. Bretton with whom she would have celebrated ten years of marriage this coming June.

Born in Stomio, Greece on November 25, 1966, she was a daughter of Emily (Kanelas) Skafidas of Lowell and the late Apostolos Skafidas. She immigrated to this country at an early age and received her education in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell High School class of 1984. She went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Pharmaceuticals from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1989.

Mrs. Bretton had been employed for many years as a Pharmacist by Walgreens in their Londonderry NH location.

She was a member of St. George's Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell.

In her free time she enjoyed spending time outdoors and cherished the time she spent in the company of family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Lia M. Bretton a student at Growing Years Pre-School in Methuen, a sister Georgia Skafidas of Trinity FL, a brother John Skafidas, her in-laws Ron and Millie Bretton of Methuen, a brother-in-law Dan Bretton of Lunnenburg, a niece Malyna Skafidas, and many dear friends.

BRETTON -- Friends may call at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Thursday from 4 until 8 P.M. Her Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday at 9 A.M. followed by her Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, Lowell. Interment in Gibson Cemetery, Pelham, NH.
