TYNGSBORO, MA -- Adeline Geke Salvesen, of Tyngsboro, MA, died young Saturday evening, July 14, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with breast cancer.
Adeline was born in Singapore, the daughter of Joseph Sim Chek Meing and Florence Chua Sian Neo of Singapore. She graduated from University of Massachusetts Boston with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 1989.
She previously worked as a Chemist for Genzyme in Framingham. She owned and operated the Patchwork Pansy of Tyngsboro.
She was married to Bryant C. Salvesen with whom she recently celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary.
They have a daughter, Alexandra Su Ching Salvesen who recently celebrated her 19th birthday.
Besides her husband, daughter, and parents, she is survived by a brother, Mervin Sim and his wife, Chu Chu Sim of Singapore; a sister, Patricia Sim of Singapore; her mother-in-law, Janice Salvesen of Winthrop, MA; two sisters-in-law, Kjerstin Quinn and her husband, Thomas of Lincoln, MA, and Gretchen Salvesen of Arlington, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition, she was blessed with many close friends.
