Beloved mother, grandmother
and great-grandmother

LOWELL -- Irene R. (Beauregard) Lopes, 83, of Lowell, died Wednesday morning at the D'Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Joseph Lopes who died in 1987.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, November 12, 1928, the daughter of the late William J. and the late Catherine (McKenzie) Beauregard she attended St. Patrick Grammar school and was a graduate of St. Patrick Girls High School in the Class of 1947.

Before retirement, Irene worked for Wang Labs for several years and previously worked as a Secretary for Muldoon Bothers Oil Company in Lowell.

Irene was a lifelong communicant of St. Patrick Church in Lowell.

A member of the Miraculous Medal Association, she also belonged to St. Joseph's Indian School.

Irene is survived by three sons Joseph M. Lopes and his wife Donna of Pelham, NH, David Lopes and his wife Karen of Lowell and Christopher Lopes and his wife Melissa of Hudson, NH; three grandsons Joseph M. Lopes, Jr., Thomas Lopes, Timothy Lopes three granddaughters Allison Lopes, Megan Lopes and Jessica Lopes; three great-grandsons Jake, Brian and Logan Lopes; three sisters Agnes McPhillips of Lowell, Theresa McNulty of Lowell and Sister Catherine Louise, S.N.D. of Ipswich; a sister-in-law Doris Beauregard of Pelham, NH; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Sister Catherine St. Paul, S.N.D., the late Robert Beauregard, the late William Beauregard, the late Ernest Beauregard and the late Roland Beauregard.

LOPES -- In Lowell, November 7, 2012, at D'Youville, Irene R. (Beauregard) Lopes of Lowell, wife of the late Joseph Lopes. Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday. Her Funeral will take place from the Funeral Home Saturday morning at 9 o'clock followed by her Funeral Mass at ST. PATRICK CHURCH at 10 o'clock. Committal Services will be private.
