LOWELL -- Everett John Joslyn III, 49, of Lowell, MA, died Saturday afternoon, January 5, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.
He was married to Mrs. Karen (Balba) Joslyn with whom he celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary on November 6, 2012.
John was the son of the late Everett J. Joslyn and the late Barbara Schilling, and the step-son of the late Robert Schilling. He was a graduate of Eustis High School of Eustis, FL with the class of 1981. He attended University of Central Florida and UMass Lowell.
He was employed with Fidelity Investments of Merrimack, NH.
John was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford, MA.
He was an active Boy Scout Leader with Troop 7 of St. Rita's Parish in Lowell, MA; where he found friends and an abundance of family. John loved camping and spending time with his family. John was known for his kindness to everyone he met. His ability to always see the positive in everyone and everything he did. He spent four years making memories with his family and never having any regrets. His most important moments were his love for his children and his wife.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his never ending pride and love, his children, Olivia, Nathaniel and Gillian Joslyn, all of Lowell, MA; two uncles, Henry "Uncle Bud" and his wife, Kathy Kowalski of Connecticut, and Donald Joslyn of Auburn, MA. John is also survived by his mother-in-law, Filomena Balbal; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews and many close friends among them his best friend and "brother", David St. Louis of Lowell.
He was the brother of the late Jennifer Pelt of Mt. Dora, FL.
