GROTON -- Ken Medley, of Groton, MA, died peacefully surrounded by his family on March 9, 2013.
Ken was born on July 19, 1927, in Providence, RI, and raised in New Haven area of Connecticut.
He spent two years in Army intelligence, and graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a B.S. in Psychology.
After spending 10 years in California, he lived most of his life in Groton, MA, working as the New England sales rep for SCM Corp.
He enjoyed woodworking, furniture making, antiquing, yard sales, boating, fishing, traveling, cook outs and pool parties with family and friends.
He was married to the late Mary Lou Medley (Janette) for 25 years, and spent the last years with his close friend and companion, Terry McPartlan.
Ken is survived by his children, Tami Maynard, Randy & Linda Medley, and Kim Medley; and son-in-law, Mike Maynard; his grandchildren, Justin, Jesse, Brandy, Tyler, Amy, Trevor, Becca, Randi; and his cat, Shadow; his sister and brother--in-law, Dorothy and George Baer; his nephew, Donny; nieces, Cindy and Shelly.
We will miss his "always open house" and classy ways.
MEDLEY -- A memorial celebration of his life will be held at the Franco American Club in Westford, MA on Sunday, March 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Donations in Ken's memory may be made to: Nashoba Nursing Services and Hospice.
