Eric M. Gazlay
Loving father, brother, and friend; 58
NORTH CHELMSFORD -- Eric M. Gazlay, of North Chelmsford, passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2013. He would have been 59 this month.
Eric was born in Binghamton, NY, and raised in Newburgh, NY, the son of the late Jean Pierce. A longtime resident of Lowell, he moved to North Chelmsford in 2002. He was a graduate of Colorado State University with a BS in Business Administration.
Most recently, he was employed by UPS.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Lindsey Gazlay of Boston, MA; and son, Sean Gazlay of Lowell, MA; his siblings, Laura Gazlay of Sleepy Hollow, NY, Amanda Gazlay of Concord, NH, and Kevin Gazlay of Lake Mary, FL; and a close friend and partner of many years, Felecia Elias of North Andover, MA.
He was an avid and skilled basketball player, which he shared with Sean. His lifetime love for playing and watching basketball brought him many joys. He also enjoyed playing chess and backgammon, science fiction and action movies, comics, and rock and roll, all loves that are passed down to his children.
Eric was known as a caring, sensitive and playful individual. He will be dearly missed by many.
GAZLAY -- A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church United, 10 Arlington St., Dracut, MA 01826 on Saturday, April 27th at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the church.
