LITTLETON -- Debra Ann (Goguen) Doherty, 53, of Littleton, passed away at her home with family by her side on May 8th, 2013, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
She leaves her husband of 26 years, Thomas E. Doherty (formerly of Woburn); two sons, Christopher T. Doherty of Plymouth, Patrick D. Doherty of Littleton; her mother, Ann (Blanchette) Goguen of Gardner; a brother, Clayton R. Goguen and his wife, Joanne of Gardner; a sister, Michele M. Leonard and her husband, Daniel of Ashland; three nieces and three nephews, Laura and Lesley Goguen of Gardner; Maura, Joseph, Jack and Thomas Doherty of Woburn.
Debra was born in Gardner, on December 12, 1959 to the late Clarence "Chibs" and Ann Goguen. She grew up in Gardner and attended Holy Rosary School. She graduated from Gardner High School in 1977 and Regis College in Weston, with a Bachelor of Arts in History, in 1981.
She worked in corporate travel for many years for American Express and most recently served as Vice President of Corporate Travel for Fidelity Investments, in Merrimack, NH. She received numerous awards as well as her achievement as a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Debra enjoyed cooking, gardening, sports and her dogs (Guinness, Bailey and Hunter) as well as being a proud and enthusiastic Hockey Mom.
DOHERTY -- A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 75 King Street, Littleton. Calling hours will be held at Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton, on Tuesday, May 14 from 2-4 p.m. and 6 - 9 p.m. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Mass General Cancer Center at Emerson Hospital - Bethke, 133 ORNAC, Concord, MA 01742.
