John H. 'Jack' Knight, Jr.
of Chelmsford; 60

CHELMSFORD -- John H. "Jack" Knight, Jr., 60, of South Chelmsford and former longtime resident of New York City, NY, died on May 8, 2013, at the Walden Rehabilitation Center in Concord.

Jack was born in Montague, MA on April 10, 1953, and was a son of the late John H. Knight and Janet E. (Altemus) Knight who survives him and resides in South Chelmsford. He received his early education in Chelmsford schools and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School. He earned his bachelor's degree from University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and his Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law.

He was a self-employed attorney in the state of New York, and was a former administrative law judge during Gov. Mario Cuomo's administration.

In his free time, Jack was very active in local and national Democratic politics. He enjoyed working as an extra on many movies and television shows, such as Bull Durham and ER. He also enjoyed water color painting.

In addition to his mother, Jack is survived by a sister, Janet Korytoski and her husband, Thomas of Whately, MA; his brother, Patrick Knight and his wife, Faith of Billerica; and sister-in-law, Linda Knight of Lowell. He also leaves three nieces, Ellen Jardine of Portland, ME, Barbara Knight of Chelmsford, and Maria Knight of Methuen.

He was also the brother of the late Philip Knight.

KNIGHT -- JOHN H. "JACK". At his request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 1 o'clock at Heart Pond Cemetery, South Chelmsford.
