Catherine 'Kay' Costello
Formerly of Chelmsford, MA; 81

PARSONSFIELD, Maine -- Catherine "Kay" (Lekas) Costello, 81, born October 8th, 1931, daughter of John Lekas and Theresa (Stathopoulas) Lekas, passed away peacefully in the evening hours of June 5, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Costello, who passed away April 16, 1997.

Kay was born in Everett, MA, and was a graduate of St. Mary's Episcopal Convent School in Peekskill, NY. She returned to Mass. and spent close to 20 years living in Chelmsford where Kay and Tom owned the Chelmsford 4-H Sand Dusters Club, which is now home to UPS on Brick Kiln Rd. Kay and Tom retired and moved to South Parsonsfield, ME in 1987 where they enjoyed various arts and crafts and loved volunteering at all fairs with the Parsonsfield extension group. Kay also volunteered at the polls and was an active member of Saint Stevens in Waterboro, as well as, a member of the Daughters of the King.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Lekas of Sanford, Maine; her grandson, Thomas Costello along with his wife, Stephanie (Paquette) Costello and their son, Michael Costello, now of Derry, NH; her granddaughter, Jessica Costello along with her daughter, Adryana Davila of Dracut, MA, and her granddaughter, Jacinda Costello of Kennebunk, Maine.

She is predeceased by her brother, Peter Lekas, her sister, Bessie (Lekas) Salem, and her only two children, Michael T. Costello and Donna (Costello) Andrews.

COSTELLO -- Services will be held on Wed., June 12th, 2013 @10 am at Saint Stevens in Waterboro, Maine with a burial immediately following at Maplewood Cemetery in Parsonsfield, Maine.
