Raymond Michael Connolly -- U.S. Maine Corps Veteran -- TEWKSBURY -- Raymond Michael Connolly, 77, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on June 22, 2013. He was born in Lowell on February 11, 1936, the son of the late Raymond and Aline (Richard) Connolly. He was a lifelong Lowell resident, and recent Tewksbury resident. He attended Lowell schools and was a 1954 graduate of Lowell High School. Mike was a proud United States Marine Corp. Veteran and was employed with The New England Telephone Company where he had over 35 years of service until his retirement in 1992. Mike leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Eleanor (Dickson) Connolly; as well as three children, Shawn Connolly and his wife, Monique of New Port Ritchey, Fla., Barry Connolly and his wife, Jennifer of Wells, Maine, and Erin Bohenko and her husband, David of Lowell. Six grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth and Garrett Connolly, and Lindsey, James and Meghan Bohenko. He was the brother of Dr. Edward Connolly and his wife, Phyllis of Weston, MA. He is also survived by a niece, several nephews, and cousins. Mike leaves behind a lifelong dear friend, Renie Bourgeois and the late Paul Bourgeois. He was a communicant of The Immaculate Conception Church. An avid golfer, he held a lifelong membership at Long Meadow Golf Club. He was a member of The Chelmsford Elks, as well as The National Order of Hibernians. A devoted husband and family man, Mike enjoyed spending his summers in Wells, Maine surrounded by family and friends. CONNOLLY -- YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS FROM 4 UNTIL 8 P.M.
