Frank M. Forrest Obituary
Frank M. Forrest well known carnival and amusement operator -- PELHAM, NH -- Frank M. Forrest, 84, of Pelham, NH, died Sunday June 23, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Acton, Massachusetts, September 5, 1928, he was the son of the late Lewis Arnold Forrest and the late Marjorie (Bond) Forrest. He was the beloved husband of his loyal wife of over 40 years, Heidi, who he loved dearly. Frank worked in the carnival and amusement business for most of his adult life and was well respected for his vast knowledge of the industry and his ability to solve nearly any problem. A man of many talents, he was blessed with an incredible gift of working with his hands. He built and repaired the most complex machines, trailers, and equipment including detailed finishes that would appear to anyone to be factory made. Frank was inducted into the New England Showman Association "Hall of Fame" in 1973. He was a generous and loving husband, father, and brother who was loved and admired by his family and friends. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Janet Tibbetts and her husband Daniel of Bradenton, FL and Cathy Shurlteff of Derry, NH; a son Gregory Forrest of Seabrook, NH; seven grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; two sisters Betty Voter and her husband John of Salem, NH and Joan Rondeau and her husband Norman of Lowell; four brothers Kenneth Forrest and his wife Ann of Westborough, James Forrest and his wife Theresa of Pelham, NH, Robert Forrest of Bremerton, WA and Richard Forrest of Pelham, NH; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was the brother of the late Muriel Pelton and the late Eleanor Belknap. FORREST -- Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service to be held Monday at 12 o'clock Noon at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME in PELHAM.
