Shirley R. Gauthier Loving mother, grandmother, and friend; 79 -- LOWELL -- Shirley R. (McCoy) Gauthier, age 79, of Lowell, passed away on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013, at Lowell General Saints Campus, following a brief illness. She was born in Lowell on July 26, 1933, daughter of the late John & Emma McCoy. She has been resident of Lowell for most of her life, and also resided in Florida for nine years. She attended St. Joseph's Shrine in Lowell. She enjoyed dancing, swimming, puzzle books, and taking trips to Foxwoods, Las Vegas and Atlantic City. She is survived by her loving friend of 16 years and dance partner, Normand J. Laurin, Sr. of Lowell; her three children, Richard "Gauch" Gauthier, and Michael Gauthier, both of Hudson, MA, and Deborah Manolopoulos of Lowell; three grandchildren, S-Sgt. Matthew Gauthier and his wife, Jeannette, Krystal Gauthier and Marissa Manolopoulos, also other dear friends and relatives. She was also sister of the late Gertrude Lavallee and her husband, John. GAUTHIER -- Cremation took Place July 6. Relatives & Friends are invited to her Memorial Visitation at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Wednesday Morning, July 10, 2013 from 9:00 until 11:00 AM. A prayer service will take place in the funeral home at 11 o'clock.
