R. Albert Dion of Dracut, Raytheon retiree, avid golfer; 75 -- DRACUT -- Rudolph "Albert" Dion, 75, died peacefully on July 10, 2013 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Albert was born in Lowell on February 6, 1938, he was the son of the late Raymond F. Dion and Delia (Boudries) Dion. He received his education and was a graduate of Lowell High School. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Raytheon and worked in the computer room for over 38 years. In his free time, Albert enjoyed playing golf at the Long Meadow Golf Club, where he also had many friends and was also a member of the Lowell Lodge of Elks. He also enjoyed traveling but his most cherished time was spent with his loving family. Albert is survived by his sisters, Doris Poisson of Lowell, and Eleanore Gordon of Dracut; his nieces and nephews, MaryAnn Gialousis and her husband, Alex of Port St. Lucie, FL, Debra DeBlois and her companion, George Dadekian of Salem, NH, Raymond Whitcomb of Londonderry, NH, Linda McCarthy and her husband, Brian of Lowell, Suzanne Brunelle and her companion, Steve McNally of Dracut, Janet Tulley and her husband, Joseph of Dracut, Kenneth Whitcomb of Dracut, and Norma Clark of Billerica, Julie Phillon and her husband, Jamie of Lowell, and Laura Imasogie and Sunny of Lowell; as well as several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Janet Young. DION -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, on Sunday, July 14th from 2 until 6 P.M. His Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Monday, July 15th at 8:30 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in St. Margaret Church, Lowell.
