of Dracut and Londonderry; 80

DRACUT -- Marjorie A. Richard, 80, a resident of Dracut for over 50 years and Londonderry for the past 3 years, died peacefully Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson. She shared 54 years of marriage with her late husband, Leo E. Richard who passed away in 2010.

Born in Lowell on July 30, 1933, Marjorie was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Clarke) Welch.

Upon graduation from Lowell High School, She worked as a legal stenographer.

Marjorie was an active and longtime member of the Eliot Presbyterian Church in Lowell and served on many committees there, such as the Women's Association and volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher. She also served on the Board of Trustees for the Horn Home for the Aged in Lowell.

She loved going camping every summer and spending time with her family, especially her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marjorie is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, Karen and Paul Green of Londonderry, NH, Leanne and Frank Ferreira of Litchfield, NH, and Gary and Sandy Richard of Londonderry, NH; eight grandchildren, Danielle Hart and her husband Shawn, Lindsay Lombo and her husband John, Craig Ferreira and his wife Karen, Amy Ferreira, Sabrina, Kaylee, Tyler, and Gary Richard Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Bryce, Keira, Caeden, Emaline and Alexis; sister, Virginia Laderoute and her husband Edgar; cousin, Donald Howard and his wife Vera, as well as many nieces and nephews.

RICHARD -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on FRIDAY, December 27th from 3-7 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held on SATURDAY at 10AM at the Eliot Presbyterian Church in Lowell. Relatives and friends are asked to gather at the church. Burial will follow at Edson Cemtery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Eliot Presbyterian Church, 273 Summer St., Lowell, MA 01852 or to the , 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
