NASHUA, NH -- Steven N. Bastarache, 63, of Nashua, NH formerly of Lynn, MA died Friday March 7, 2014 after a brief illness at the Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston.

He was the husband of Marie (Stanton) Bastarache with whom he celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on June 14th

Born in Boston, MA on Nov. 23, 1950, he was a son of Carmen Bastarache of Haverhill, MA and the late Phillip Bastarche. He was raised in Boston and graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical School with the Class of 1970. He attended and graduated from Sylvania Technical School in Lynn.

During the Vietnam War, he served in the US Navy aboard the USS Intrepid.

Steven worked as a Calibration Technician at ESSCO in Chelmsford, MA for many years. He previously worked at Textron Defense Systems in Wilmington, MA . He enjoyed being a Ham Radio Operator. His call letters were W1SND.

Besides his wife and his mother, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Corinne Bastarache of Manchester, NH, Renee Bastarache and Dan Tringale of Nashua, NH; a brother and his wife, Leonard and Sandy Bastarache of Oxford, NY; a sister and her husband, Donna and Thomas O'Connell of Haverhill, MA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Richard Myers.
