Obituary Condolences

Lucien Baril
of Fitchburg; 73

FITCHBURG -- Lucien Baril, age 73, of Fitchburg died Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA.

Lucien was born July 30, 1940 in Lowell, son of the late Raymond Baril and the late Jeannette Butterfield. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Wendell Butterfield.

Lucien served in the Army from January 26, 1959 to March 10, 1962. He was a skilled brick layer and was a member of the Brick Layer Union. He was a co-founder of the Goshen Coffee House in Lowell. He also founded his own Christian radio station.

He always had the right words to say and everyone loved him. He will be remembered for many things including giving everyone a nickname, as a man that didn't always have much, but gave it all, loving nature and family gatherings.

He was a dedicated father, devoting much of his life to his children. He was dependable, loyal, and a man with integrity. He was passionate about the Lord. He was selfless and touched many people's lives. He had a magnetic personality, kind eyes, and a great sense of humor, especially with his pranks.

Lucien is survived by two daughters: Desiree "Princess" Baril, and Renee "Poochy" Baril both of Leominster; one son: Jesse "Pelican" Baril of Fitchburg; one granddaughter, Mya Baldarelli; one sister, Jacqueline "Jackie" Bunker of Springhill, FL; and one brother, Donald "Bones" Baril of FL.

He is predeceased by his Brother, Raymond Baril.
